As the title says, just wanted to know your thoughts now that you have the cards in hand... Would be keen on the broncos cards and the JT but seem like just numbered base cards to me! Is the card stock thicker than the usual thin rubbish select produce? Any gold foil on the front in the names?!?!

Well my set has to be sent back, opened them for the first time yesterday and 3 damaged cards, one with a crease thru the middle.................:(......................and its a number I liked set 200 of 400.

Honestly they look ok but thats it and i would have thought they would use fresh images rather than images from previous cards.

i am happy with the one eels set i have as i have the hindmarsh #11

Dunno why they can't just do future force type limited edition cards to make them unique, as opposed to every one of the cards of the same player looking exactly the same only the number on the back is different. Looks like cost cutting to me.

Yes, how hard would it have been to have a few stats or a blurb on the back? The same back on all cards is BORING!!!

Oh, and I agree about the re-used photos, the Mullen one is off the Daily Telegraph set this year. How hard can it be to not use the same photos again and again? It happens allll the tiiiime!!!

Well I must say I actually like the card design...it is a Scanlens card therefor should be rather plain....the more I look at them the more I like them and I probably like the back more than the front.....

Yes they are pretty much numbered base cards and yes they are overpriced but the card stock is definatley thicker than a Champions release and for team collectors they are a great addittion to our PC's.

As a Dragons fan I would have liked to see some differrent players instead of Cooper / Sailor that to me is the only small negative.

Cheers
Ross

the design itself i didnt mind but the pictures are re-used!! that was a let down for me.. they should of got them to pose like in the old scanlens cards

and i think they should of picked players that have been loyal to the club for a long time/retiring/have broken some records within the club.. being that select wants to have that "vintage" feel it should be the older/veterans players on them

..not hayne

and the pictures should of had a ruff kinda style to it.. like it was taken back in the 60's - 70's

also.. i think, they shouldnt have given the cards out so easy. select should of made a normal series 2 and called it "scanlens" and have numbered cards within them, with the usual base inserts, redemptions.
