Saw 4: Spoilers inside, but WTF?

Ok saw this tonight after the movie was delayed for about a half hour.

Thought it was a great spin on things and really smart throughout the movie, but wtf was with the ending?!?! I don't get it and I have a feeling we aren't meant to till the next installment?

The cop on the ice's son is still missing and so is the couples daughter from part 3.

Any thoughts on waht the hell was going on at the end?

Ok I think I have worked it out or the only way it could be worked out I guess:

Fact 1:Saw 4 happened at the same time as Saw 3.
Fact 2:The Autopsy happens "later" in the series, like maybe when the Detective trapped with Jigsaw's body gets out of the room he was locked in (ie end of Saw 5).

Yes, yes I believe this is the only way the movie can happen.

It is then revealed that the events of Saw IV have run concurrently to those of Saw III, with Strahm intercepting Jeff just after the deaths of Jigsaw, Amanda and Doctor Lynn. The autopsy scene that occurred at the beginning of the film is shown again, revealing it to have occurred after the events of the film and not before. As the tape found in Jigsaw's stomach is played again, Detective Hoffman is told that Jigsaw's games have only just begun, and he will be tested.

Havent seen it yet, didnt read the spoilers (thanks for the alerts Linn), but is it anything like the others?

I loved them, think they're one of the best thought up series' in movie history. Was thinking of going to see it, but didnt know what to expect.

every SAW movie there is a trick to us and trick to the plot. that's the same..

but this one is a bit different to the audience.. I like the movie and new methods of games.. I like Saw IV abit compared to previous one because this one is very similar to SAW I and explains more of John's personal life. I heard Tobin Bell is signed for total 6 SAW Movies, so it's gonna be a long haul for Jigsaw.. LOL

it's fun to watch but, a bit confusing to end... what I explained is just one bit of the twists that confused me..

Damn, just got home from seeing this one.

Not so confused as we sorta caught on AFTER the film that they happend together, and I can say the dude in the chair looked familiar, but farout....

What I'm confused about, is while all the "investigating" scenes we see, how is it that the "Special Agent" is there, when he's meant to be in the chair?

And.... WHO THE HECK IS HE??

Where's the dude's daughter?

Oh and of course... WHAT IF...

What if he didnt make it in time, he came thru that door with 1 second left... Would that have meant they'd all have died?
