Similar story to many i'd imagine. Pulled out a bunch of old cards and decided to see what they were worth and quickly became keen to get those missing numbers to make up full sets. A friend mentioned he was buying some basketball cards and I told him that I had a stack, but mostly collected Rugby League. He said he had a stack of Rugby League, so we swapped and here I am looking at swapping some more.
I started collecting cards in 1988 with the Scanlens Rugby League cards. I have every card except for 4 in that lot with probably 130 - 150 doubles (Not in very good nick unfortunately. I was 7 or 8 when I started collecting them). In Rugby league I have a bunch from somewhere around 1982 - 86 (some with green borders, some with purple) and quite a few from 89-95. I also have TMNT, Simpson, Batman Returns, Desert Storm, Garbage Gang and a heap of cricket cards.
Looking forward to rejoining this great hobby after a long time.
