Hi all,
Even though (mainly due to the fawning, biased reporting from the South Australian media, and the "style over substance" selection policy that seemingly exists at the SACA!) I am not a Redbacks supporter by any means - it is still a concern that a once successful cricket state is now little more than a laughing stock, and in effect has made domestic cricket a "5-team" competition.
Since the Redbacks won the Sheffield Shield in 1995-96, there have been 33 domestic finals played (14 Sheffield Shield, 14 ING/Ford Ranger Cup and 5
T/20).....in that time they have made...erm.....2 FINALS....for 2 losses.
This recent season promised a great improvement, yet saw only a choke in the T/20 final, and last place in the Shield and Ford Ranger Cup.
There must be die-hard Redback fans on this forum...and even cricket fans in general who want to see a healthy, competitive domestic comp. So where to for the SA Redbacks?
