Well i went to a mates gig last night and i was talking to a few people and they gave me insight that Killswitch Engage is coming to Australia late this year supporting Lamb of God. I so hope this is true and i thought id post a thread to see if anyone else like Jza has heard of this rumour. Lamb of God too \m/... I have been trying to find a source all day but cant seem to find one, apparently their was an ad in the rave paper or something.
Seeing the Butterfly Effect this saturday which is going to kick ass =P~

rock on

please god, please make it happen!!! my two fave metal bands on the same bill, could this be true?! i havent heard anything jonno but rest assured ill be scouring the net looking for confirmation.

yer one of my mates said he saw a add in rave or time off..
and KSE is supporting Lamb of God but id say they'd both play for about 1 30-2hrs.
I hope its true, fingers crossed. Thats a hell of a lineup which you dont see in Australia. Its useally europe and nth amercia that get a bucketload of good bands on the same bill.
might here more about it this week. will post if i get any further information..

little update as i couldnt find much on the internet, i had a look in a free magazine called Tsunami and it states in upcoming gigs 'Lamb of God are coming to australia in November i think it was. And when i was at this concert mid last week i heard a few people talking about it and they said Killswitch Engage is supporting Lamb of God although the mag doesnt say that. But that would be bloody awesome to see, fingers crossed.

also saw The Butterfly Effect on Saturday night and it was bloody unreal.
2nd row of the mosh :o THEIR NEW ALBUM IS THE S**T!!

well that concert kicked some serious ass.
i feel for you JZAA missing this one. It was the best concert i have ever been to and that is a massive call from me becuz i have seen Metallica live.
One night i wont forget for a long time thats for sure.
ill give u a little low down.
Got their around 5 30 went to a pub for some drinks, than we drank for a good hour becuz we werent interested in the first band I Killed the Prom queen who played from 6-6:30. Walking towards the arena we saw the lead singer from Lamb Of God getting coffee at a cafe so we went in and said welcome to aus and shook his hand, he was a LEGEND!! Than Unearth took the stage, this one i played spectator from the 2nd floor balcony. These guys were preety fukin good. They really worked the death pit hard and was just pure aggresion and thrash at its hardest. The lead guitarist did something i have never seen and that was literally walk ontop of a crowd. he ran in from the stage which was near level with the pit and was playing his gutait standing upright walking over people he was wearing a phat upside down visor too and that same guy on four occasions got given a beer chugging tube and threw it down drank it and spat it out like triple H. Good but the best was yet to come.
I then made my way to the mosh pit at the set change to watch lamb of god who were fuking unreal. Randy Bythe was mad and it was an insane and long set that saw some insane moshing and constant chanting of all the lyrics. Laid to Rest, Now you got something to Die for, Black Label, 11th Hour and The Faded Line went off. It was bloody amazing. I was 2nd row in the mosh for all the Lamb of God set and it wasnt and easy task making my way to the front.
Than Killswitch came on and holy shit were they good. Opening with A Bid farewell and seeing the guys was amazing. Howard Jones wearing a casual black shirt and jeans, Adam D wearing a tennis like outfit with a red masadoon t shirt and whit sweat and headband and Joel wearing the same Skid Row singlet he wore in their kickass dvd in worchester, Mass.
For the last 3/4 of the gig i was in the front row and i was literally a metre or less away from Howard, Mike D, Adam D and Joel. They were wailing solos in my face and the pinch harmonics. Mike D did his trademark salute to me with the horns and I was screaming the lryics to Sernade with Adam D it was the coolest moment ever. He is the funniest dude and most entertaining guy in music lol, doing pushups on stage and running around and all the jokes he was saying. :o Than after the gig i was wating for a bus and bamm, first thing i see going up the valley unearth walking down we said hey and shit and than i see lamb of god going to the ATM and in perhaps the worst moment ever i was left kicking myself. Me and my mate got on either side of Bythe and had the horns up while this dude was taking a pic from my mates camera and the lens shut off, the battery died cause he was recording alot of the concert. And finally we saw Killswitch go off in their little bus and ran to the middle of the road and wgave them the horns and they waved back.
great night and an unreal experience.
i will try recall the setlist as best as i remember for JZA

****, thats quite a recap there there Johnno, sounds like a night to remember. :D

sounds like they played all the classics, did LOG play a lot of the new album?

yer maybe 4 off their new one. It did sound preety tight live, thay had a preety big set probally more songs than KSE.
Not sure of the names of the latest album but i know they played the first track, and redneck and a few more.
was fukin unreal dude, when i get some of the concert footage i will send to ya. Alot of it came out preety bad becuz of the blinding lights and the speakers were to loud for the camera but life to lifeless and the later part of kse set was preety well recorded.
