Last I heard one of the major reasons sonny bill signed was because Smith was coach so don't know about that.

While not a Roosters fan I work with a few who are, It wouldn't matter who the coach was for $BW to sign as he's only there as a short term fix and only because of the $$$, Smith can work his magic in getting the players up for one or two seasons then all the vitriol and angst ends and he gets shown up as a very ordinary motivator, please keep him away from the SOO coaching job!.
