I just throught I would post a quick thread about my recent experience with Roller Shutter Companies. If any of you have dealt with these type of companies before you would be aware of the song & dance you have to go through.
Recently I installed three electrical roller shutters at one of my rentals in WA.
I did a bit of reserch before I got any quotes and found this page here was worth a read:

Needless to say my experience with Modern, 1/2 Price Shutters & Oz-Shutters was about the same!
I did manage to avoid a lot of the song & dance described in the link above but even when I told the salesmen I know about the whole "act" they still went through it all. 1/2 Price shutters were good enough to give me a quote on the phone (based on the measurements I had given them) but didn't even turn up for the official measure & quote! They cancelled the appointment after I had told them I had a cheaper quote so be prepared for me to haggle........I wouldn't ordinarily mind but they neglected even tell me they had cancelled the appointment.
Anyways at the end of the day if your looking into buy some roller shutters have a read of that link I included above because the experiences that people have had were pretty well on the mark to my experience.
I ended up going with Oz-Shutters, the salesman wasn't pushy and I got the price I was happy with so there is a good start
I checked out the end job yesterday and it all looks & works very well so another tick in the box there
