OK this time it was with my g/f buying a jigsaw puzzle. She brought a gemini star sign puzzle $1.25 for the puzzle $8 p/h. Thats fine, we recieved the puzzle today. It was the wrong puzzle, the postage only cost them $4 and the box has a hole in it but is still in its new puzzle plastic. We contacted them and told them what happened and they told us to send it back to them and let them know what the problem was. We then replied and said to them that they would have to pay the return postage because it was the wrong puzzle (not to mention the whole in the box). And they told us that any return is at buyers cost and if we want we could send them another $5 and then they will send the correct puzzle. Any ideas on what we should do?http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180140696485&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=008
Man that sounds harsh, you buy something then get the wrong thing and get screwed over even more.
But I don't know what you should do. Is it worth all the hassell, maybe just leave the appropriate feedback and put it down to a bad expirence. Otherwise your going to be out of pocket $10.
That's really bad form...... I would email them back & state it was their fault so you don't see why YOU should be responsible for the return postage... if they don't want to pay return postage then you get to keep what you have & they should also send you the correct postage at THEIR cost.... not an extra $5.

if you read there listing they shouls cover all costs.here are the main points in there own words:
By law, we will give refund if the product is defective, unfit for purpose or does not match the description or sample.
We charge actual postage in most cases and there are handling fees for some items. No refund will be given for overpaid p/h.
and this one contradicts one of the above
For all warranties claims, goods must be returned to the seller first with all components at buyer's cost including incorrect item sent by us
maybe you should tell them to read there own conditions.as far as i can see the first quote of theres says they must refund your money by law.and on the subject of postage ask them about there small handling fees
i would neg them and then try and get a refund from pay-pal for receiving the wrong item.
tony
tell them to send 1st & then you'll pay...then don't pay.
I ordered a bluetooth dongle to connect pc to mobile phone of ebay.
the guy sent something else, but sent the proper one aslongs i'd return the old one..
