We all have different views/reactions on this.

heres some news from someone close I know in georgia.....



My second cousin is an officer with GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigations) and what he's heard in his circle is that Chris Benoit's wife killed their son Daniel, called Chris and told him to rush home because of an emergency which is why he missed last Sunday's Vengeance PPV. Upon arriving home Benoit killed his wife in a rage for the death of his son and then killed himself Monday morning. His wife's body was found in the master bedroom, strangled with the cord from an alarm clock. The son's body was found in his room appearantly suffocated with a garbage bag. Chris then wrote a suicide note explaining what had happened, apologized to his family, his other children (from a seperate relationship), and his fans. He the fashioned a slip-knot noose from from rope taken from the garage and hung himself from the ballaster in the foyer of his suburban Atlanta home

you see that would make more sense to me...

It could be alot of things and i guess untill the forensics investigate further into the case than we can all assume what we want. Im not a fan of Wrestling these days as it has gone down hill really bad but i remember how much of a roid freak Benoit looked like.

if that is true i really feel 4 him , imagine having everything then having it all taken away becausesome1 does that so u loose it in a fit of hate and rage then realise u r better off topping urself then getting life behind bars,RIP

I read this:


- Benoit’s wife Nancy was murdered Friday by asphyxiation. She was in the office area of the house, dead, for close to a day

- Benoit’s son Daniel was murdered Saturday by asphyxiation. Daniel was confirmed to be in his bed when law enforcement officials found him.

- Chris Benoit committed suicide late Saturday early Sunday. No type of suicide note or anything in the house was located.

- Authorities are still waiting further results from crime lab and toxicology reports which could take several weeks to get back.

- Only one prior arrest of Chris Benoit is known. It was allegedly for a DUI, but nothing can be confirmed. There is no knowledge at this time if there was a history of domestic violence with Chris Benoit. It was also not know whether or not a divorce had been filed.

- Lots of prescription medications found in Benoit’s house that police believe to be illegal prescriptions at this time. However, he then said that police found anabolic steroids but would not say what all they found without a full list.

Police would not release a motive at this time.

- Law enforcement officials reported that Benoit text messaged a co-worker, which was received several hours after it was sent; contents of the message were not revealed. It was also not confirmed who the message was sent too, other than a co-worker.

- Steroids were not directly related to any of the deaths, police are unable to answer what Chris Benoit’s state of mind was during the killings.

Look we can't judge a person who we don't know about what is going on in their lives. Who knows what demons he was facing if he did indeed do it. I feel sorry for the whole family because of whatever situation they were in.

Maybe it was an elaborate set up to make it look like he did it? I know I'm clutching to straws here, but anything could've happened and noone really knows for sure.

death is the worst thing, no matter what caused it, or who caused it.

nobody knows the circumstances, truth or ultimate situation.

Wrestling superstar Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son over a three day period, before hanging himself with weightlifting equipment, according to police.

Police investigators announced the grisly findings at a press conference this morning (AEST).

"Mr Benoit had sometime, possibly Friday, murdered his wife by asphyxiation. Sometime shortly after that, the same for his son Daniel and sometime later ... committed suicide by hanging himself in the basement area," officials said in a statement from the Fayetteville Sheriff's Department.




Even more shocking, Benoit's son, Daniel, was apparently found with needle marks in his arm.

According to Atlanta District Attorney Scott Ballard, the boy was being given Human Growth Hormones because the family thought he was undersized.

In a bizarre twist, Ballard said it appeared the wrestler choked his seven-year-old son to death late Saturday or early Sunday morning, more than a day after killing his wife.

The bodies of the 40-year-old wrestler, his wife, Nancy Benoit, 43, and son, Daniel, were found in three separate rooms at their Atlanta home on Monday.

Mrs Benoit was bound at the wrists and feet, with a towel wrapped around her body and blood underneath her head, according to officials.

A Bible was reportedly found near each one of the bodies.

World Wrestling Entertainment staff asked police to check on Benoit after they were alerted to a series of "curious" text messages he had sent to friends, reportedly during Sunday's Vengeance TV wrestling program.

In one of the messages, Benoit said that his wife and son were sick.

In another message to a neighbor, Benoit said that the house door was open and the pets were outside.

"Our assumption is that that was an effort to try and get somebody to come find the bodies after the suicide," Ballard said.

However, police say they believe Benoit died on Saturday. Authorities understand he used a cord from one of his workout machines as a makeshift noose.

Toxicology tests will show whether steroids or prescription drugs, both found inside the Benoit home, could have been a factor in the deaths. Steroid abuse has been linked to angry outbursts known as "roid rage".

Mrs Benoit had filed for divorce and a restraining order against her husband in 2003, telling a judge she was "intimidated by threats of violence".

Yet when Benoit — nicknamed 'The Canadian Crippler' — won the world heavyweight championship in 2004, he hoisted the belt over his head and invited his wife and child into the ring to celebrate.

Asked by the Calgary Sun newspaper that same year to name his worst vice: Benoit replied: "Quality time with my family is a big vice. It's something I'll fight for and crave."

But as the investigation continues, it's Benoit's history of domestic abuse which has been brought into the spotlight.

In the papers, Nancy claimed that Benoit, "lost his temper and threatened to strike the petitioner and cause extensive damage to the home and personal belongings of the parties, including furniture."

She also said she was "in reasonable fear for petitioner's own safety and that of the minor child."

Three months later, she withdrew the divorce papers and a judge cancelled the proceedings.

Benoit met his wife on the wrestling circuit during the mid-1990s.

Then, she was the wife of fellow wrestler Kevin Sullivan. As part of the scripted show, Benoit and Nancy acted as if they were having an affair.

But a real life romance developed and Nancy left Sullivan for her new love.

Now, in the aftermath of the killings, some friends of Benoit have been unable to accept he would harm his family.

"He was very happy with his wife and he loved his son Daniel," Ross Hart, a friend of Benoit and member of the Hart wrestling family, told the Edmonton Journal.

"This would be very uncharacteristic of Chris to do anything self-destructive. I find it very hard to believe that he would end his life or his family's."

I meet Chris Benoit when the WWE used to come to aus like 3 times a yr...i met him at this meet and greet thingy before all the shows...was truly a nice bloke still very shocked that this has all happened!!

if this is the truth there is no exscuse for killing your wife, but it lightens the situation a bit.

this would seem a lot more like the Chris Benoit we see on tv, but until they release the final information after body scans etc and the motive, i don't think i can believe anything i can hear.

i've been a lifelong fan of Chris Benoit, since before he won his HWC, and i was only a little kid then.

way to dampen the light on a hero.

It just makes oyu think, all these guys who go into violent occupations must have it in their blood? Like when dogs just go nuts, maybe its similar to these guys...or the drugs I guess!

Even if he didn't kill himself he would be dead. By lethal injection

I've seen what roids can do to track riders and it aint pretty. Family life is all but destroyed.
