Former Manly Star and 70'2 and 80's voice of rugby league passed away last night. Has suffered from Alzheimer's disease for a few years and his condition has gradually deteriated.

Love him or hate him he was a true character of the game

RIP

Yep Great memories of watching footy during the 80's. " the state bank big game " , mid week KB Cup , Sunday Afternoon Winfield Cup Grand Finals. All to the voice of the "Moose". The Game has changed....

RIP to The Moose
great commentator, my eariest memories of league growing up has him commentating. hope the NRL do something special at the Dally Ms/grand final for this legend.

Was it Rex Mossop and Keith Barnes commenting on the Amco(pre season comp) Cup. All the boys would gather for footy, beer and b..ys and crackup laughing at the two argueing all the time. great times..Rest in Peace Moose. Did more good than harm

The first person I met when I first made it to the sunny banks of Australia in 1988 was Jessica Mossop.. Rex's 6 year old grand daughter (I was 6 at the time too.. Before I start to sound too creepy....).. And I remember all the stories she told me about him.. It has been many years since I have heard of Jessica or Rex for that fact.. RIP Rex..
