In last weeks weekly warriors I scored the Celtics and picked up a damaged 14-15 Paramount Marcus Smart Rookie Impressions.

I've been on Panini and logged the return and printed off the replacement request packing slip but it asks for
  • a copy of the original purchase receipt
  • the empty wrapper from purchase
Clearly I don't have an original purchase receipt or the empty wrapper so what do I do?

Also it strongly recommends sending the card with insurance and proof of delivery, but the card is probably only worth $30-$40 at best and insured post to the US will cost a bit over $20.

I mean I don't want to lose the card as its all I got from the break, but at the same rate insured post compared to the value of the card doesn't really seem worth it.

Has anyone else had to replace a damaged card from a group break that can give me some advice??

Thanks in advance
Adam

From experience, if you have a printed PayPal screenshot of the purchase, that should be ok. But you do need either a wrapper or the part of the box with the production stamp showing (not serial number). If not, you can try linking them to the part of the group break video when the card was pulled, as proof of the damaged card.

As for postage, if the card is not worth registered post and if you are not comfortable sending it regular post, you can state your case in an e-mail and hope they are sympathetic to your situation. It may involve you destroying the card before they agree to send a replacement.
