Just wondering...

I was awarded my PayPal claim after the seller failed to respond to PayPal, yet they were able to send me 2 emails during the 10 day period.

In my letter to PayPal, I requested that if I am to return the card to the seller, then I want compensation on the postage that'll come from my pocket.

I was only refunded the total amount paid ($29.50US). Since the seller charged me $6.00US postage, would it be reasonable to charge them $6.00 to return the card?

I'm sick of being ripped, and if I've gotta be put out, I want compensation.

If you still have the envelope - reseal it and mark it Return to sender ;) .

I mixed up an order earlier in the year and sent Person A's cards to person B ad vice versa.... I organised with them to reseal and mark return to sender and they both agreed. I never got the packages though... I reckon Aussie Post cracked the shits and thought we were trying to rip them off and kept the stuff for there auctions or whatever... :(

one of my biggest frigging pet peeves is this issue scotty. several times ive had this shit happen to me. basically, the seller wins. its completely ****ed and ive emailed some angry rants to paypal about this. why the **** should i, who has done nothing except pay the dodgy seller promptly, be out of pocket cos they either sent me damaged/fake/bootleg imitation crap? they should be paying for postage to get their piece of shit dodgy item back to them.

Just claim you sent and dont, that seems to popular in the US... and if they give you grief say "this always happens when i send stuff to the US"

They're in Bejing I think.

I'll email them and request the amount for postage.

My only thoughts, what if they do a chargeback on the paypal payment for postage? lol.

Just an update on this one, I just sent them an email back:

Are you going to pay for return postage?

As I said initially, if you had advertised the card as being damaged, I wouldnt have bid, and now that I've got the card, and my refund, in order to send it back, I'm going to need compensation on the postage, you charged my $6 postage, so it'll cost you $6 postage back. Only seems fair.

No doubt they'll kick up a stink. I'll probably end up with a Negative, but I'm not fussed.
