Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. 6/10
DiCaprio and Pitts acting carried this wishy washy movie all the way to quintessential Taratino in the last 20minutes of the movie.
They performed brilliantly in this, but the story line just doesn't hold a lot of weight.
It had some special moments, the Bruce Lee scene, the trailer-room introspective, tv aerial repair flashback, but for the most part I felt lost with where the movie was going. Some people say that is Tarantino brilliance, but its not the type of movie that made him a legend.
Spent $25 a seat in gold lounge for this. Recommend just waiting till its on VHS.
John Wick 3 - 6/10 - kind of enjoyed it but kind of wish they’d left it at 2? Not sure.
Deadwood Movie - 5/10 - was ready to give 7/10 purely for the hype factor of seeing some more after all these years then realised they should’ve actually done another full season and even Timothy Olyphant said he was worried about trying to finish it off justly in just a movie. So screw them.
Just finished watching The Matrix trilogy again. Mixed feelings also about hearing a fourth is coming. Guess no one can resist the money!
Rocketman: 7/10
Enjoyed the first hour and a half thoroughly, ending felt like it was rushed badly
the new movies and the first three dont really belong together, so viewing order depends on which plot path youd prefer...X-Men Dark Phoenix - 7.5/10 - filled in a lot of gaps from other movies - entertaining - love Turner, McAvoy, Fassbender, Lawrence - huge cast, watched with my 10 year old daughter who was asking questions about characters and other movies so I thought I'd google the order to watch the movies after......wow. try and explain that lol. figure we'll just end up watching in some kind of order and enjoying the action over school holidays.
