Kinda annoyed by this so I'm going to let off some anger in the form of a "rant" post

Bought 2 GU cards from a seller on eBay (Aussie seller)

It was $6.00 for postage which I thought was fine. $1.00 for the padded bag and $2.50 for registered post. Fair enough.

Got the 2 cards today and guess what?

Both cards in penny sleeves without top loaders and placed into a padded bag.:mad::mad:

Luckily both cards were not damaged.

Oh and the parcel was not registered. So a nice little profit straight into his pocket.

And this guy has over 18K feedback and mainly deals in the trading card hobby. How does he not know how to ship in a safe manner??

So I ask you, should I NEG him or not?

Ok managed to drag my eyes away from your avatar for a second to read :woot:

This is one of the main scams in my eyes on low end sales ... not saying it doesn't happen on high end stuff.
Too many of these guys getting max 5 stars all the way from people for lousy service, packaging etc.
Put lowest rating in a couple of those slots to show your disgust and let your comment reflect same.

18K feedback at 99.8% rate.

I'm guessing he's pissed I won both cards for about 50% of what they usually sell for on eBay.

Yes he's had a few "neutrals" about poor packaging. And thing is I think a lot of us here on this board purchase from him (Supplies etc)

Are you still allowed to neg people on ebay??? If so neg the hell out of him, there is no excuse for poor packaging and its only a matter of time before someones cards end up damaged so hopefully it might act as a wake up call to him

Buyers can neg, sellers cannot.

Name and shame??

Hint: I've made love to Michael Jordan two times, and I'm a DJ.

Just want to warn others here. If you purchase from him ask him before you pay how he will ship your goods.

He clearly is more concerned about making a few extra $$ than making sure your goods arrive in good condition.
Its not like he is a noob to trading cards....just plain neglect.
Instant neg as far as im concerned

According to the email I got back: Nothing wrong with the way my cards were shipped and because he has to pay GST and other "bills" the little extra is warranted. LOL

Will now NEG for sure after the 7 day time limit.

Good news is it's Friday tomorrow!

when that happens to me i just leave neutral feedback and explain in my comment why i left them neutral feedback, usually card protection issues like this, but in this case there's abit more to it, your choice mate

There is no excuse to send cards like that or ripping people off on postage. I would definitely leave a negative!

well there are no rules on e-bay about packaging cards, so unless he states in his description he packs like we do, then i think negative FB is not really warranted for that. if the cards were damaged then yes fair enough, but luckily they got through ok. id leave + but low star ratings for postage or neutral and a comment regarding his packaging.
or if you think his excessive postage alone is worth leaving a neg, then i guess thats fair enough aswell.
not saying youre wrong, just that imposing our packaging standards on people that arent required to do so isnt really fair. just my opinion.

Instant neg for me...... cards with no toploaders is not on. Then charging you for a method of postage he didn't send in on top of it. Disgraceful! Won't buy from him now, thought he was a decent ebayer.
