It tastes like sour candy': woman describes addiction to sniffing and chewing nappies
"YOU know when you're walking into a room and you smell a strong smell like food and you kind of taste it? That's what its like."
That's the explanation from 22-year-old Keyshia describing why she hoards, snifs and chews on dirty diapers.
Prepare to gag, people
The pregnant New Yorker has told her bizarre story in a new episode of My Strange Addiction , which follows people with, you guessed it, strange addictions.
Thus far the show has featured addictions to growing toenails, urine baths, eating sand and bee stings, but this one definitely takes the cake.
And we think Keyshia DEFINITELY fits the bill.
According to the soon-to-be-mum, to pass the sniff test the diapers have to "have pee in it" and "the heavier ones that have more pee, the better".
She sources the soiled diapers from here, there and everywhere, including friends and strangers.
"I love it, it just tastes amazing," she said.
"I have one while I'm cooking in the kitchen, I have one in my drawers, I have one while I'm sleeping, I keep some in my trunk, my pocket book."
The taste, she says, is like that of sour candy.
The episode aired on US cable channel TLC on January 15
