Questions on buying from US

Hey, I've been negotiating with a bloke on blowout for a couple of cards (higher end) and just want some clarification on shipping etc.
I have purchased from blowout before (around 08) and had no dramas shipping direct to aus.
This time it's going to comc (first time for me) and I am guessing registered post is a must? (for postage confirmation?)
I know crap all about US post but assume it's similar the world around?
I wouldn't care about lower end cards but these to me are pretty pricey and don't want to get caught out.
Any other recommendations would be welcome.

registered post definitely. And ask if he can post it using UPS - USPS are s***house when it comes to both tracking and delivering on time.

If it's going from US to US and high end, I would make sure it's Express and fully tracked with signature on delivery.

I have stuff sent to my COMC all of the time from BO guys. But haven't done anything super high end. Also, when I pay with PayPal my COMC US address can't be used, only my Aus address which can be an issue.
