Question - PM's?

Just wondering, do pm's automatically get deleted after they become one year old as I seem to be missing a couple I suddenly need #-o and the ones that are left are almost exactly a year old. Just curious..

Who's keeps PM's for a year???

I had been keeping certain pm's that contained member's addresses in the hopes of compiling a spreadsheet with said addresses. I finally got around to it this evening and found that a couple of the pm's had vanished! Without a trace! #-o
Anyway, I got curious if this was the case?

There is no setting to delete PM's after a certain time.

The only thing I can think of - in the User CP under "Edit Options" there is a "Default Thread Age Cut Off" setting. Is this set to the last year ?

I located the "Default Thread Age Cut Off" setting and it was set to 'use forum default'. I've now changed it to 'show all threads'..

And they're still gone. It's no biggie at all though, thanks Graham. I will get some new pm's
