hi, ive read the FAQ and cant find an answer to these questions.
If i give someone a freebie and they only pay for the postage costs,
a. should it be posted in trade agreements?
b. should feedback be left for both parties?
c. is this considered a trade?.
any help is appreciated, thanks.
In my opinion if you are being paid for the postage then the answer is yes to all of your questions. Only when you send something without getting anything in return is it not considered to be a trade. My thoughts and others may not agree
I'll ask Graham to clarify further, but the answer is no to all.
PArt of the reason is that it is one way that scammers can quickly run up feedback if we allowed feedback for freebie trades.
ALso, the great thing about this community is that sending freebies is one of the ways that members help out each others collections, without asking for anything in return.
Graham and Billyhoyle, I can understand you saying there is no trade deal if it is just a case of one member sending free cards that show up without you even knowing such as what Branko (loafic) does but isn't this a different scenario.
In this case there is an exchange even if the one member is only getting enough to cover the postage costs. Technically it is really no longer a freebie because it has cost
