4) Would ESP consider expanding the Traders base set to 18 players per team (including a team logo card) to allow more players to be included in the release?
Increasing the set size would alter the ratios, therefore decreasing the value proposition. For now, we won’t be doing that but will be including a team logo card in 2015.
I think it means (not 100% sure) that they would have to make more product so the insert cards would be spread a lot thinner. I don't have numbers but if they currently make enough base cards for 100,000 sets then to continue to make base cards for 100,000 sets at a larger set size would result in insert cards that were 1 per box being 1 per 1.5 boxes etc.
Or
In traders this year from 1 box two base sets could be made. Increase the base set size 1 box makes 1.75 sets depending on the increase.
Totally agree....would make parallels more limited and base cards more limited....adding more value and potentially more sales trying to track down the cards you need.
However, my actual question was "Why are limited release inserts (say WCHP limited to 80) not individually serial stamped like signature cards are?"
which, if asked, would have avoided a response like the one given and provided a bit more information to collectors.
That said, good on ESP for providing this opportunity for a few questions.

I have certainly given my feedback directly to ESP regarding this issue and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one. It was acknowledged and received well so I am hopeful that we won't see short print runs without serial stamping in next years release.
