Well, I enjoyed it so much the first time, that I decided to throw a few more cards into PSA for appraisal. This time I went with a bunch of D-Will's, a couple of recently added TD inserts and tried my luck on a few 03/04 rookie cards.
I am overall quite happy, if not a bit perplexed about a few gradings.
First up let's take a look at my 03-04 RC attempts:
Happy with the Melo...but really not sure myself why the Wade and LBJ are scored that poorly. No big deal, it just sapped a bit of confidence in my card picking ability. I would have sent the LBJ anyways to be honest, so I maybe didn't expect a great grade on that, but the Wade I could have gone either way and did not expect a 6....oh well, the Melo 9 is a nice one.
Let's go to PC cards, next up these fine TD inserts:
Very happy with these, not sure exactly how acetate and foil cards lose out on marks...but no drama.
And let's end it with a few D-Wills:
Pretty happy with all of those, the Fan Favorite I pulled in my first box back into NBA cards from an OZCT group break...speaking of which, there will be a couple of live breaks soon of my 2 Fleer E-X boxes from the group break a couple of months ago!
LOL! Bet you have been waiting a long time to use the word phlegm here hey...
I'd still love to know why the Wade is so low...the right (or top of slab) edge isn't great, but the main surface is nice and the corners are sharp. Oh well, my judgment was at least better than average on the whole and I am very happy to have some Gem mint in my PC.

And begins the education process of how strict and painful grading can be! Even though the card looks "ok" and most of it is sharp, it only takes one small thing to bring the grade right down. Not bad for a first submission though Next time if you want me to actually check them over before sending let me know - I don't think you paid for that service this time around
