I can't believe this. I don't want to go near 2K things for a while.

First the draft (all in the same boat but annoying none the less).

Then I'm playing a league game with Alidrew, which is my last regular season game. I'm pretty happy thinking: after this I won't have any more league games to do.

Last time I tried with Alidrew it cut out because of the network. This time it lasts until the 3rd quarter, but then it says my connection with the 2K network has been lost? I'm also up 72-62 at this point so there is no reason I would disconnect (although it is raining at my house, but despite this the wireless doesn't cut out so why should the game?).

Man I'm annoyed.

Did I mention Chris Paul was having a ripper of a game, 28 points and 10 assists mid-way through the third on 11/12 shooting from the field including 3/3 triples. Farout 2K!

the joys of internet gaming!! 2K Sports have really farked it with the draft system, seriously! If its all being done on line why the hell cant it pick up the time zones!? I bet you it happens in US time!

OKC are on a tear the last part of the season. 7-3 from the last 10 games, hopefully i can win a few more and solidify a spot in the finals.
Had a cracker of a game against the Rockets tonight every thing was working (Sorry it had to be you Brandon) it felt great for the first time ever even with the crazy steals and blocks they were laying on me.

Im ready to make a run for this championship

There is only one problem with the timezone theory - Last month i created that small 4 team Fantasy league to see what features were available to us when starting a league. It started at the correct scheduled time.

So, still going over what the issue could be and now i'm thinking perhaps it didn't start because we had one team accidently, and two teams intentially quit? If this is the reason it would be quite annoying, especially because we already have people to take those teams but 2K lock the draft and dont allow anyone else to join once the draft is scheduled.

2k9 always started one hour later didnt matter daylight savings or not. was weird but we got used to it.

But i think the absent teams may have been the problem here as mentioned. Better to have guys not quit and quit after the draft and schedule has been generated than u can invite a new GM.

Well we can wait it out today to make sure the draft doesn't start.

Once we rule that out the only solution is to:
A) Throw our hands in the air and say "Screw 2K, i give up"
b) Recreate the league which is a major pain in the ass. Having to copy over forums and chase people up.

If we do recreate there would be none of this one-two weeks warning about draft time etc. This one would go ahead asap. If there wasn't such a good turn out last night i'd probably be leaning towards option A.

Also, i would want another 4 team Fantasy League created just so that we can schedule a start time of tonight to make sure the league actually starts when it is supposed to. So if anyone will be online this afternoon/tonight let me know and we will get this out of the way asap.

I actually have 3 out of the 4 teams for the tester already....so if anyone is available this morning please let me know and we can figure out this whole draft scheduling thing now.

Michael - you may want to check with Alidrew if he wants to reset our game. Evidently I didn't drop-out on purpose as I was winning by double-digits and I'm happy to replay it if he wants.

Either way for some reason my record is at 21-9 and says I've just had a loss? Which is incorrect, but check with him what he wants to do - I'm not fussed either way.

It has come up as a loss against you because when you go to the results screen it has a D next to your team name (Stands for Disconnect) So it automatically gets registered as a loss. It happened to me in a game earlier in the season when it actually said i disconnected during the "Player of the Game" section after the game had finished and recorded it as me losing despite the score being 133-108 or something like that in my favour.

Also, i found Verse to join my tester draft league which scheduled the draft for 10am (NSW/VIC) this morning. 10am has now come and gone and the draft has yet to start. I'll check it again at 11am to test for this "2K always starts drafts one hour after they are scheduled" theory and we'll see what happens. If it still doesn't start then i'm close to giving up on Fantasy drafts.

when i log onto my playsation network and go to online leagues section, when u enter the season 2 a meesage comes up saying the draft start sunday 28th febuary @ 10pm, thats all it says right??

im guessing that time would be USA time, which would make it approx 4 in the afternoon here in Sydney (I think)..... maybe its done in usa time and thats why its starts 24 hours after you think as there a day behind.... i say jump on this afternoon around 3-4pm and check it out, will be a bummer if this dosnt work out, shame on you 2k

I should be about tonight if u need a hand with anything, fantasy drafts etc.

To ease the pain I'd get everyone to re-register their interest on this forum by end of this week say Friday night and than whatever we have we go with for a this Sunday night draft.
If it's only 20 teams than so be it.

I think there is at least 15 who are on here very regularly and seems a few are mates of people that are on here so would like to think you would get 20 pretty easily.

Hasn't been USA time before. Think the problem lies in unmanaged teams myself but may be wrong.

I was thinking this may be the reasoning behind it myself but Digs mentioned that he can't set the draft to any earlier time than we have so it kind of rules that out.

We'll see how this test goes in a minute, fingers crossed its just that players have cancelled

If it ends up not drafting, I vote we just go for a "pick a team, no fantasy draft" league. Even if we only have 20 teams or something, or the full 30? But perhaps draw teams out of a hat or something if guys don't want to choose?
