Ben don't be ridiculous.
It was 35 with the one player, not 53 and I kept going because he was on a role. If you count taking hard, contested 3's as cheesing then I guess there is no way to score on offense at all. Let's not lie... we all know you pride yourself in those 11 treys you hit in Season 1. If you could've topped that you definitely would have tried.
I'm not nitpicking, just find it interesting.
Out of curiosity, if there is no need to use the bench when up by 63 points when exactly is an ideal time to use the bench?
Swish assures me his connection is fixed, playing him tonight, pretty sure, i'm going to cheese for the win.
Maybe you didn't mean for it to be nitpicking, but that's the way it came across.
I don't particularly like using my bench. Just my personal style of play.
Unless I need something e.g. a 3 point shooter or one of my big guys is in foul trouble, I generally don't feel the need to play my bench.
In a blowout my starters have done the hard yards to get me to that point, so I would rather reward them with playing time and stats.
The times I use my bench is like I said, when I need something specific or have guys in foul trouble. Also if one of my guys isn't playing well maybe I'll put one of the bench players on instead of him (e.g. I do that sometimes when McGrady isn't playing well by subbing on Bellinelli).
Generally speaking I've only used Bellinelli and Curry off my bench, the others I don't find that effective. That's just the way I like to play.
Besides it's not like the "stamina" of players passes on to the next game, so unless my starters are on 0 stamina and flashing, there is no reason to rest them. It's not like it's real life and they will be tired for the next game.
Anyway no fuss Digz.
I spose what Michael is trying to say is that your HUGE games would be much more impressive if your players were used realistically/normally. I mean, the other day Varejao hit 18/15 for me, in 20mins, and sure I could have chucked him on more to get more rebounds and break records, but ah well. Point is, any player can rack up huge stats if they're never off the court.
Though 15 treys is nuts!!
Exactly. Any player can. So everyone can break records if they want to.
If you don't choose to, and would rather use your bench than that's your choice. But there's nothing more "right" about doing that. Which is the way you guys seem to make it out to be.
Anyway, I just wrote up all the records from both season 1 and 2 on the league archive, recording the highest record from both season 1 or 2.
Let's remember who holds the record for most points in the game Benny
Hello Carmelo's 78 point night.
Wow, and 72 of Carmelo's 78 points came in the paint....lol
and Jimbo 152 points in the paint!!! Wow, i remember the good old games with Sam. Flat out end to end fast break action for 32 minutes
Nice work Jimbo. Fantastic to put into the archive.
No worries man. Maybe you guys will promote me to admin next season
But yeah ridiculous games with Sam. I am kind of hoping he comes back just because I know that's a guaranteed fun game. And he doesn't quit either, haha seems he doesn't even get bothered by the blowouts.
I was msg'd by Digeze in regards to taking over the unused 'new orleans hornets' franchise. Hopefully i can do that, and get some games in this week/weekend.
Please feel free to add me
