Mate, seriously, how the hell can people enjoying going to the basket 80% plus of the time?!? Thats a load of crap IMO! People like MattBowne and Swish only want too win! Apparently swish does nothing but isolate with Jackson or Brown and will literally run in circles until he can get to the basket and dunk, but when Digeze played a practice game he played totally different!?! You can't tell me thats not all about winning! MattBowen ONLY uses Iggy and Kobe! He does not go to anyone else more then a couple of time a game! he was even passing on open shots in the paint with Lopez!
But, there is people like yourself and a couple of others that score alot in the paint or close to but at least you use shots not just dunks and layups!

If you honestly think there isn't a handful of members out of the 30 that only want to win, then, IMO, your delusional!

While we do have a fairly good mix of players in the league there is at least 2 or 3 that don't care about anything but winning and it is shown in the way they play the game. You can not ignore the obvious!

I agree with you Aussie and i think the people that mainly want to win are younger as in younger than me 18, so i guess all gaming is too them is winning especially online. Now i like to win but its not everything i rather just play my own game take some jumpers have some dunks, try a few post moves try a bit of everything some times i pound the paint but it happens.

But yeah definitely some people in this league a minority that all they want is to win, theres nothing much anyone can do about it. Like ive said before adjust to it if someones going to pound the paint play a zone, play off ball defense do what it takes, i hate when people do stuff like swish and run in circles then attack the paint, so i adjust and make sure i win, whereas with all around guys that play fair i relax a bit more and play a bit more variety.

Is it possible to get a reset on the Gizz vs Wiz game? It was 7 points difference with 2.5 to go in a very tight game. The lag was crazy but it was very close and i could feel the comeback as only Wade was scoring against me in the last 1/4 with some slightly unethical plays

I have to say I agree with Aussie. I played Swish in an exhibition game and it was perhaps the most fun, most evenly matched game I have played all this season. We were neck and neck, playing inside and out, there was no isolations (maybe a couple, but hey a couple is fine), very little going to the 1 player, ringing in the substitutions and all round great game. However it was the complete opposite to when I played in the our league game previous...

There is no fun in going inside again and again. All it does is frustrate you if you're stopped (I know the times I get most frustrated is when my players blow seemingly easy shots inside) or your opponent. When I see guards and swingmen and such, particularly ones that have decent-good ratings outside, only scoring in the paint except for maybe the odd 3, it really makes me wonder what the hell is going on! People must even simply pass up open looks with these guys to take it inside.

That said, everyone is different, and I acknowledge that, but if it's not about winning, then I don't understand why it is done.

Need a reset on Grizz vs Suns dropped out in the first 1/4.

He even had the nerve to message me and tell me it always happens against me? WTF every game he plays disconnects!

I think he means cause his net is known as sh1te, while yours can be patchy = not a very reliable connection overall between you guys! Just reply to him and tell him to plug his PS3 in

Yeah i told him i won't play him again till its sorted.
I can't understand mine since im hard lined now, it shouldn't cut out at all but did yesterday for some unknown reason

Trades are under review. There are concerns about James' feelings on playing since he's not been about much lately and he appears to be blowing up his team with really uneven trades.

So with that being said, there shouldn't be a reason why the trades don't go through as they are fair and even completely balanced in rating points.

I think if he has made it clear he is no longer interested and is perfectly happy to blow up the team then it would be unfair to approve ANY trade involving his team. Why should he get a say on any trade if he isn't going to play the game. Any further trades would be at the discrection of the new Dallas Mavericks owner.

Ok so now you've confirmed it. Michael and I were just guessing that this was the case, now you've told us it is the case. In my opinion, I'm not sure how Michael would feel about this, but ANY trade with him now should not be allowable, ratings perceived to be equal or not. Simply because he doesn't actually give a damn who he gets in return, and if we're going to get a new owner, they deserve to have the say on whether they would make the trade or not.

That's my thoughts, we'll see what Michael says also.

Have to respectfully disagree. Other trades have gone through where ratings have been sloped one way or another for the benefit of other teams, so why shouldn't a balanced trade be put through?

It's not like he just took control of the team, hasn't played any games and dismantling the team to make it crap for the rest of the league. He has played 1/3 of the season and is in current control of the team after all.

EDIT* - After seeing what both mods think I'll go with what you guys say, because obviously I interact on these leagues with you two quite a bit and respect what you're doing here; AND while you're opinion I don't think is absolute, it obviously does make a lot of sense and can see why that would be unfair for others. No worries guys.

Jason Kidd / Paul Pierce trade offer for your crappiest players would be considered a pretty obvious indication.

Haha yeah posted same time

I yes some trades have been put through that were sloped Jimbo, but both owners have been on, are on and are still playing with those teams, meaning they know what they want and agree with what is happening. If someone is wanting out, and want to screw up a team first, they don't really care what they get back and such as they won't be playing with them.

If I had known he wanted out I wouldn't have put that Thabeet/Hayes trade through...that's my bad, alarm bells didn't ring in time. However, we have stopped a few trades this season cause it was clearly a "mates rates" situation, which is another sign of an owner that doesn't really care.
