Hi,
I am hoping someone here may have the answer....

I see really cool games come out in the USA for their Playstation 2 but they are NTSC and cant be played on out PS2's here as we are PAL....

Does anyone know how I might be able to play USA games here?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that mod chips allow you to play PAL or NTSC games, as long (of course) that your TV can handle the NTSC signal.

Grab your local trading post if its anything like Vic there will be tons of ads for places to get them chipped or trade for a pre chipped machine.:v:

chipping shouldnt be attempted unless you know exactly what your doing, if you know how to do it its not too hard at all though, takes a few minutes.

most newer tvs (last 10-15 yrs) will show ntsc (60hz) as well as pal (50hz) frame rates.

Hi,
I thought there was more to it than just the TV.....I thought PAL playstation systems could not play NTSC games at all I didnt realise it had something to do with the TV....
