Picked up AFL 2007 for the PS2 today and started up a career/dynasty thingo with my Sainters :D

Settings;
Skill: hard - so expect some big losses early, should improve though
Time: 5 min quarters

First match; St Kilda v Brisbane, 2007 NAB Cup
 
2007 NAB CUP; WEEK 1 :- SAINTS SMASHED BY LIONS

St Kilda were utterly thrashed by the Brisbane Lions in week 1 of the 2007 NAB Cup. Jarred Brennan was fantastic up forward for the Lions marking everything that came near him and the saints backline was very undisciplined giving away several key free kicks and 50M penalties. Brennan ended up with 4 goals for the Lions

You know its a video game when Richmond wins by 10 goals...

Lets see how you go in the home and away season, hopefully you can get a few wins on the board early and get into the finals!

im sitting 7-4 atm, thought i had the game beat as it was starting to get easy but then got rolled by the Dees on QB clash! By 3 pts!!!
 
yeh its great so far Kyle, a lot better than the previous versions...

What difficulty are you playing on?
 
Im playing on hard also.

I play 10 min Q. Try to get real life AFL stats, average around 260-300 disposals per team so yeh hehe.

One beef but!
The opposition dont interchange unless a players get injured which sucks ass.

What is the deal with the off season in this game? Be careful when you delist/relist players or your team will look totally different come the next year.

Jesus, Matty your forward line sounds stuffed! One point tho, looks like X-Man has managed to play several games in a row - amazing, even for a video game :lol:

Im wanting to get this game, but it sounds hard :(

Haha no im just crap at video games cept basketball ones :p

Kyle seems to be kicking ass with it, it is fun though!

Yeh get it!!

I should have wrote mine up like Matty has. My goal kicking tally looks interesting for the league, Brett Ebert is winning with 45 after 11 rounds lol.

Prob the best gameplay they have made so far!

Would you say as good as Madden? As looking to buy a new game and tossing up between Madden 08, Fifa 08 (if out) or AFL 2007.
 
I havent played Madden of FIFA since about 1998 Ryan so i cant help you there sorry...But they'd be "better" games as there is A LOT more money poured into them, as they have bigger markets, but AFL 2007 is quite enjoyable...
