Anyone got this? i grabbed it yesterday on my wat to the Dome. Not bad game play in this one. After a few pracy games of getting used to the controllers i soon thougt it was time for my career mode to take off!
And guess what, beat the Saints by a point in the NAB cup first rnd! Dale Thomas with the winning pt, after scores were tied on 97 each.
Is it much different to the previous releases??
Because that has been the downer for AFL Live for the past few years they have been all too similar and the game's longitivity only lasts a few weeks to a month.
I bought it and I like it.. alot better than the last
Pros
* Better camera angles
* Advantage plays brought into the game
* Graphics/gameplay alot better
Cons
* In The preseason comp i had bradshaw kick a 101 point goal (1 kick) and the qtr didnt end at all..
* Can be hard
* When kicking for goal you need to kick within an indicator and you can be caught holding the ball trying to get it right
my question is, is it any better than the old ones... cos I had a PS2 version (it got stolen) and wondering if I should actually bother... cos graphics were shithouse in all other versions i seen.... and easy was too easy and hard was too hard.....
This game would be good if it had a dynasty mode, where you could trade players and do behind the scenes stuff.... its just got no interest otherwise....
But thats good news that players can finally be traded! Bit more realistic. Career Mode also good... though I bet it will take work for them to make career mode more interesting (player retirements, recruiting youngsters, etc).
Haven't got the new one. Have had a few of the older ones and last years premiership ed was pretty good but imo the whole game always revolves around tackling too much.
Well even when Cox was not injured he was not tapping them to Judd......this year he just tapped them and more often that not we have been losing the center breaks Judd hasn't been racking up too many possesions lately so I guess I wish BOTH were true !
well i finally started my offical season tonight and opened with a cracker. Led by Licka (27 touches) and Bucks (22 touches and 3 goals) the mighty Pies opened there season with a 7 point come from behind win against the Crows.
Trailing by 31 points at the last change the Pies cam home hard, Didak kicking 2 important ones and Fraser sealing the win in the dieing seconds. Was highly entertaining and realistic scores.
Pies 18.8.116 def Crows 15.19.109
Tazza, Bucks and Rocca with 3 apiece. Whilst for the Crows Hentchel kicked 1.6 :s .
Mcleod and Roo killed me each grabbing around 25 touches, Roo also kicked 3 goals.
Im gonna try and get you guys to buy this cos it rocks.
the last version i played of afl was 2 years ago and it was pretty shitful, im gonna get the new one solely based on the fact its been 43 years since a cats flag and ill play the bastard till we win that big shiny trophy
I just played a whole season and had james hird BOG every game and he gets only 5 brownlow votes.. what the hell??? tell me ~20 touches 5 goals per isn't enough? clearly more than my oponents and any one on my team.. yet lloyd wins it.. ok 108 goals is pretty good.. but cmon!!! who gave the ball to him? hird finishes 3rd in the essendon B+F.. what a crock!!! still love the game though
