I am thinking about buying a ps3 mostly to play rock band (my new addiction). I was wondering if any of you connect to the net with your ps3? is if free or is there a monthly access change for the ps3 network? Also could someone please have a look and tell me how much it is to buy the extra songs for rock band online. Thanks.
I've had a PS3 since it launched in Australia and it's been online since that point. Each console has an in-built wireless receiver that will pick up your network at home (it also comes with an ethernet cable if you do not have wireless). Access to the 'PS3 network' is free - you just need an ISP and away you go!
However you might want to check out what your download limits are. I have no idea how much space online gaming uses, but you will want a hefty limit if you plan to download game add-ons and various items from the store.
