Product ranking

Hey all. I've been out of the hobby for a while. Now there's all these new products and I have no idea which is which in terms of quality and price. Could someone list what products are available and order them based on price and quality. I know UD, Fleer, Skybox, all those companies are gone and we are just left with Panini.

Also, what is a good year to collect? A year stacked with good RC's. Looking for a potential next Jordan, Kobe, Lebron

Panini high end Eminence, Flawless, Immaculate.
UD Black and Exquisite.

These would be my best recommendations and can't go past Ben Simmons at the moment

Mid - you have stuff like Spectra, Court Kings and Preferred.

hmmmm, I count 15 different products for 2016. Talk about over saturated. This is worst than what UD did to the market.

With the Leaf product you wont see any team logos or names on the shirts.

In terms of consistent products throughout the years:

high end - National Treasures (for the RPA's), Immaculate, Flawless.

Mid - Preferred, Court Kings, Prizm (was low end until recently with the silver boom), Select, Revolution.

Low end - Hoops, Donruss, Optic, Complete

Other notable products include: Noir, Impeccable, Gold Standard, Prestige, Spectra.

Also there were 25 products from Panini in 2016-17, not including college.

Thanks AndrewG. Should've just waited for your post. Spent the past 2 days going through D&A and Steel city calculating the cost per packet and ranking based on price. Then hopped on youtube to watch case breaks of all the products released in 16-17. Was a mammoth task and arrived at the same ranking you gave.

Too many products in this modern era and too many sticker autos.....my biggest pet peeve
