sorry to hear, thats crap mate. just go through with the paypal claim. if there is no record of the tracking #, then they should award your claim for item not received.
did the seller give you a tracking no. cause you can contact the postal service (eg- USPS) and give them the tracking no. and the the customer service person can tell you where the item is at the moment. I remember i bought a item off ebay, got the tracking no. from the seller contacted the post office in the USA to find out what was happening with the item, the seller had dropped the item off at the post office 2 weeks earlier but the lazy people at the post office didn't send it off to Australia to 2 weeks later and then it got held up in customs. So you might still see it, but don't let it go past the paypal 45 day limit for opening up a dispute.
Hello,
I have waited over a month to receive this card and to no avail. I will be leaving negative feedback shortly if i do not get an update or response regarding this card i paid a lot of money for.
Gary
I do want this card as its a Fleer GOTG John Starks Auto /10. Irreplaceable really and friggin expensive to purchase.
The guy said he had an accident over Christmas and that he didn't send the card until now but the thing i don't get is that he submitted a fake registered post USPS number in the paypal dispute rebuttal. So whats the real story here? I reckon there are going to be more sellers who sell stuff and don't send it out, put a fake registered post number in the rebuttal and then paypal will rule in favour of the seller as he apparently registered but we all know he didn't even send it out. Whats a negative going to do? Its not going to get my $100 back.
i think you can get your credit card company to refund the money for you. Don't ask me how, but i do remember someone posting on this forum that you can ask the CC company to get the money back. (providing you paid with a credit card).
Sorry, but I need you to send me your address again. For some reason, it was not the one I put on the bubble mailer. I'm sorry for the inconvienence, but trust me, I am still reliable...
Thanks,
Matt
So the question is, he hasn't sent it, or he sent it to the wrong address, but in the latter case, how can he send the card again? Its a /10 card?
Hi Matt,
Im getting really confused here. You say you sent the card as you put a tracking number in paypal. I checked the tracking number and it doesn't exist. Then you say you had an accident over Christmas so you couldn't send the card until now. And then you said you posted it off and now your asking for my address again. All i know is that i paid on the 11th of December, and now its the 24th of January, and 44 days have passed since i paid. Call me sceptical but i think this is an absolute joke and im not that gullible: "I'm sorry for the inconvienence, but trust me, I am still reliable..." I know this sounds harsh but this is by far the worst experience ive had on ebay yet.
Gary
You can guess what happened when i left the negative....retalitory or however you spell it negative feedback!!!!!!!!!!!!! That really helps your feedback when you are trying to sell stuff on ebay. But i guess he didn't give a shit when he decided to give me the runaround.
My response to his lies:
Matt,
All i know is that i got the runaround and ive been ripped off before on a cheaper card (an Oscar Robertson Ultimate Collection /25 base card) but this time i had to act because there are too many people out there who get ripped off and can't do anything about it. I know you say you contacted me once however i have tried about 3 different avenues, through paypal (which you left a fake tracking number for me to look up), then via email, and then via ebay messaging system.
If you say you still have the card and honestly want to send it out to me, send it to:
xxxxxxx
xxxxx
xxxxxxx
Australia
If i somehow receive the card this year then we can cancel the negatives.
Gary

Gary,
I feel the negative feedback you left was totally unacceptable. I tried to ship the card once, but I printed the label online and did not have the right form to ship internationally. Thats when I had the accident. I have the card in my hand still. I needed your address because eBay deletes it once you print a shipping label, but in this case, it didn't work. Send me your address, I will send the card with tracking, and provide that tracking to you by tomorrow at 5:00 EST. We can cancel the negs, and you can get your card....
Gary - The thing is, you CAN cancel negs so be patient with him and agree to cancel the neg if you get your card ! I think you were right to neg him - His excuses are BS.......proven when he provided you with a fake tracking number
My advice to you as a seller would be to create a separate eBay ID just for buying ! It is quite OK with eBay as long as it does not interact with your auctions (selling ID) and it them means if you cop a retaliation negative it won't effect your selling ID This is what I have done, I now don't care about retaliation negatives as it is only my buyig ID
Regards
I wouldn't cancel the neg until you recieve the card. I fell for this before and then after I canceled the neg the card never turned up. I couldn't leave another feedback after that either so he got away clean.
Surprise surprise i haven't received the card but paypal have sent me this:
