i disagree
how about item signed = payment must be sent?
comon dude, put urself in the shoes of he seller
seriously, this thing about seller having to send first is really risky
[/COLOR]when u say its his responsibility, he did all he could by paying for the registered shipping and when Aust Post screws it up, what gives?
its probably thanks to shady post office idiots and dodgy buyers that forces sellers not to ship globally
So you still have not got the card?
I don't think it is your falut or the sellers mate...he sent it and if it gets lost in the mail, it sucks for sure but not your fault by any means mate.
Australia Post seems to have ****ed it up though by sending that the parcel's been picked up and signed for...
If the post is saying that, someone else must have signed and picked up the parcel?
Post up a copy of the signature from the registered post slip.
When i pick my item's up from my Post Office Box, i have to sign their scanner, so i assume, its the same for you?, so get a copy of the signature... Also they should ask for ID when picking up item's, unless your on 1st name basis with them, like i am at my post office....

The local PO should have some sort of record of who picks up what? If they do you could try and see who picked it up, if it was.
Somehow are rather, where I pick up my registered item from my local PO Box, it is all already signed for. Many times, I've got sellers claming that I've already signed for the item.... which is absolutely no way because I have not even been to my local post office so how can I sign it. What then happens after that is that the local postie gets me to sign a dodgy book, that is all. So in my case, even if you can track to the scanner signature, it is most probably not the recipients'. Not sure how it works over your side, Bainy.
Should always be me shouldn't it? You can't pick up registered stuff unless it's to the person it's addressed to. Correct me someone if I'm wrong?

Nah I have to go to the post office every time and sign for it. Sometimes even if it's not registered, but when the postie has somehow 'missed' me at home.
Not all form of registered mail needs ID to be provided.
I guess that is true. But if someone just picks it up from the PO, how will the PO know if that is the person that lives there? If that makes sense
I think you will find it does, they can only hand to the registered person, have seen this countless times at my PO, if they don't know the person they will ask for ID and if its different they will not hand over, that is the whole purpose of reg post....
