Problem with a deal, problem with Post?

Just want to emphasise that I believe that the person I am trading with, Mojokid77, is in no way at fault.

Here's the story:
About a month ago, I did a deal with this new member for a whole lot of Panini Classics Rookie Autos for my set chase. They were sent out on the 17th from Singapore and supposed to arrive to me in a week. Now Stan (Mojokid77) has added tracking to the item for free to cover both our asses since it was quite a large deal. A month later I still haven't received the item and the Singapore Post system doesn't recognise it either:

Stan has taken the time actually to contact Australia Post and this is what he got:

So I've got a question for the sake of both of us. What do you think has happened? And what can we do to resolve it. A week or so ago I already deemed it lost, even bought an auto I was meant to get from Stan off Heafy, and thought it would be resolved and since Stan had it registered, he would get his money back as well. Now he can't and we're in a mess?

Stupid question but have you been to or contacted your local PO?

I had a package I thought was lost/stolen as it was marked as received by me on the tracking but when I rang up my Local PO it was sitting there. The Driver left no card and for some reason marked it as delivered to my door, he never bothered to knock or even show up that day.

I haven't tried that actually. I'll do so on Friday when I get a chance.

I live in a unit block. That means that the postie can't actually deliver the package to me and they always put a note thingey in my letterbox to get me to get to the Post Office and sign for it. I never received the note which is a problem =/

Yeah I would check with the local PO, I rang up the main Australia post number and they were no help at all, but when I called my Local PO he told me it had been sitting there for awhile.

I feel like I might be taking a double whammy here. A negative feedback for not paying for cards AND no cards received.

It has happened to me before too, both on the receiving end and from the sending side. For some reason a card wasn't left informing us that a parcel was being held. I guess we were just supposed to read their mind.

I've had a couple instances where the "collect from your local PO" wasn't left and I just ended up looking up the local PO number in the white pages and calling to check if anything was left under my name and sure enough it had been.

Anyway, why would u have a double whammy?

It's the seller IMHO who got screwed big time

The parcel was signed for. Period.

And if u aint paying him, he loses the cards for nothin

Damn, what's the point of registered mail when the buyer can just deny receiving it

i would be careful though mate becaus ethere new law is if it sits at the post office for 10 days they send it back
but this is a pretty crap situation man goodluck

Hey Ivan. I've been to both my post offices, and I've received nothing. Well it's a double whammy because I didn't receive any cards and I'm not the type of person who just lets things like this go. I am definitely contacting and have contacted Stan about this and will offer to pay for the postage costs at the bare minimum and try to negotiate something else to get this sorted. Double whammy = no cards for me, out of pocket and maybe a negative for not paying up?

Also I'm basing my point on what I know and the information I got. My post office said they have no record of the parcel and the same goes with both the Singapore Post tracking system and the Australia Post one. From what I can see, the parcel never even reached Australia...

Xorrect me if I am wrong - With that being the case, there is no reason why you should get negged. The parcel was never sent. If he was sending first, upon receipt of the package thats when you have to pay. Nothing wrong on your end, you shouldn't have to be outta pocket.

Nah I don't think that's true. Stan gave me a tracking number which I posted in the first post. On the Singapore Tracking system it says dispatched to Australia and nothing else. The Aust Post system has no record of the parcel. So he did send it but the problem is that I haven't got it but now Australia Post claims it's been picked up and signed for?

I reckon the australian postal service is dodgy. They subcontract out people to deliver registered post and sometimes they dont even knock to tell you they have a parcel for you. They just sign it and leave it at the door step (this has happened at my work place with a box of wine).

I still stand by this, you don't know what was sent to you, until it is inhand. It is his responsibility to get it to you. Not received = no payment for send first.

when u say its his responsibility, he did all he could by paying for the registered shipping and when Aust Post screws it up, what gives?
