Taking 5, thought I'd share a little experience we had here yesty....

Decided I needed a cut (haircut), so went to some place, had no idea what they were like, just passing by, thought we'd ask...

Booked me in for the next day.... just a trim...... thought I'd check the price just so we knew ya know...

$60..... for a frickin trim... lol.

Laughed at em, and walked out.

That's my worn out, worn down, state of mind/body & soul, rant for the holiday.....

$60! You could get a ******* for that price ;)

$60 ****ing dollars!!!!!!!! Jesus... I pay $25 and I get a free Crownie included in that price :) (dead serious on that - you walk in and they go "Do you want a cold beer?", the first time I said .. "How much?" .. apparently its a "customer service" thing)

Nah, walked out, didnt get it done. Chadly Do-little hooked me up with a shonky place, $15 cut, was happy there....

Free beer??? Sounds like an extra $10 is worth it!!! I'll recommend it when we get back home.

^ Oh OK then Scotty. Fair enough.

Yeah, for that price, you'd expect the hairdressette would get wet and wild with you while washing your hair out after the trim. ;)

Hey if you want a cheap haircut and a shampoo with a nice massage go to the Hair school on Lonsdale street. Stayed in apartments next door, and on the last day decided to get a haircut, $15 and the best cut I've ever recieved with a nice shampoo and condition afterwards! :D

Man - Free Beer with a haircut would be nice, might drown out my bloody barber - he wont shut up :|

We have people come to our work and give us a haircut in our lunch break.......cost $10.....the only downside is that you have to go back to work and itch like crazy for the rest of the afternoon.....

I got a electric razor etc for christmas once, so I have the missus shave my head, pretty easy, doesnt cost shit! haha

The best thing is when you go in and you get the free wash before the cut and then they massage your head with the conditioner. I almost fall asleep every time.
$60 for a trim is crazy Scotty. Crazy..

yeh, i have to disagree here. basically, its all relative. did u have a look at the clientele of the place, i would probably guess that most of the clients would be high net wealth individuals, that wouldnt think twice about paying that price for a haircut.
u, however, wouldnt pay that price, so it kind of figures that u would be shocked with those prices. i wouldnt pay those prices, i do however get free haircuts from a guy that charges people $45 for a haircut. im lucky that way i guess.
its the same logic that makes people question why a person would purchase a car worth $150k, when a car worth $40k would suffice.

LOL Scotty always count on you for a chuckle.

Did they think you were a chick? Men V Women in haircut prices :p

Men should never pay more than $25 for a haircut...period. For $60 you'd expect a lap dance and a happy ending.

That's a great deal Hill. A crownie, must be from NSW otherwise you'd be getting XXXX ;)

Anyway a classic thread, thanks again Scotty

I've got clippers too...but I cut out the middle man and do it myself!! It's not even about saving money (it is better in my pocket though!)....it just needs to be cut a lot and it's not very hard to do!!

Although I "experimented" with a No.1 around Easter and I almost got divorced!!#-o

Your right Gman, I seen a $60 **** advertised in the local paper (lol)

I shave my head (myself) so I pay SFA for a haircut ;)

damm, i pay $10 lol

so are you still in melbounre! how long you been their and how long until you leave? Are you still crashing at Chads place too

Nah the body coporate didn't clear Scotty staying here after he found out he was from New Norfolk :-P

And $60 is still on the cheap side here if you compare it to the top salons in town and Toorak where it will cost you $100+. Damn the girls last haircut cost me $150 :-(

He makes up for expensive haircuts with cheap parmas! LMAO
