All I can say is that the Curry Finals Booklet Logo 1/1 will earn somebody a serious payday, as with any of the Logoman tag booklets. Panini have really turned around some of their products from overpriced junk that you couldn't even donate to top products (think Hoops, Prestige, Preferred)
Anyone else's thoughts on Preferred this year? Only 2 packs a box, with a booklet and an on card autograph a box. A bit expensive for what it is ($200 and something USD) but as I said, some cards will give people mega bucks. I'd be interested in entering a break of this stuff.
It is actually going to be 2 booklets a box which will increase the chances of landing a decent one. When I started collecting NBA again in 2012-13, Preferred made a huge impression on me but then it flopped in 2013-14 like a lot of what Panini did that year. Fortunately Panini lifted their game in 2014-15 and brought major change to the set and it is once again my favourite release of the year in terms of value. Just wish they would revert to the 2011-12 design on the silhouettes though with the player picture to the side of the patch window instead of in the middle of it!
Sorry, one of each a pack.
Preferred's release in 13-14 sucked, horrible rookie class plus some useless auto sets!
Last year's release was a lot better tho.
Historically preferred has always been 3 on card autos + 1 booklet per box. This year it's 2 + 2.
This product has always been very, very good to me in group breaks... example:
2012-13 - Festus Ezeli prime silo, curry auto #/25 plus other stuff
2013-14 - Kobe / T-Mac dual prime booklet #/10 (T-Mac jersey numbered)
2014-15 - Hakeem Olajuwon Champs tags booklet 1/1 + prime silo, T-Mac auto #/10, Randle & Clarkson on card rookie autos.
Given that I feel I've gotten better hits each year, I don't think I can top last years insane hits and will watch from the sidelines this time round
I'm still not a fan of the booklet. It's just not a "card" to me. But then again i'm incredibly picky with my PC . My auto cards need to be on-card and show more than just a face shot, preferably full body action shot or at the least be able to see their team name/logo on the jersey. Also no "staged" photos.
