Let's just pretend here for a second. If you had to get rid of your entire collection, for whatever reason, what would be the ONE card you keep and why?

Here is my card.

The reason it's my favorite card is because this is Bill Russell's ONLY letter card ever made to date, and because i'm a sucker for NBA basketball history...

The reason I could never let it go is, because I would be affraid to never get another chance to own one, as there's only 7 made. If one did pop up, it wouldn't surprise me at all if it would sell in the $1500+ price range!

I actually got this in a trade and had to give up a George Mikan 2003-04 UD Legends Legendary Inscriptions "Mr. Basketball" #'d to 100 in PSA 9 and some CASH! Still don't regret the trade and would do it again if I had the chance...

I have 2 ... If I had a gun to my head and was forced to sell them, I'd probably be like " nah I'll keep em! " ... lol

- - 2009/10 ... # 7 out of 10 ... I sold this once to get funds for a card that ended up being a fake ... Got my money back, but was always pissed that I sold this card off ... About 5 months later, the guy randomly relisted this card with a couple others & I told him what had happened. He cut me a break, and I was very lucky to get It back. This time It's staying ! ... I'm a huge Steve Nash fan, I just love watching him play the game. The things he does just make my jaw drop. Never seen a better team mate In the NBA. High fives non stop, If you make the shot or even If It's an air ball. Lebron Is simply an amazing athlete. Though he did piss me off by HOW he left Cleveland ... ( But hey, he's no Michael Vick. He didn't have any dogs killed. And he's no O.J. Simpson. ) ... And I still believe he quit In the playoffs against Boston. BUT, he's a hell of a basketball player.

- - 2009/10 ... # 1 out of 1 ... Wolves Tag from KG's Rookie Season ... Got lucky enough to buy this from GarnettFan4Life (Matt) when he was selling off his cards ... This Is simply a beautiful card ... I honestly doubt I'd ever sell It. I've always loved KG, his passion & emotion that he has for the game. Talks to himself and everyone else the entire time. How hard he works for his team. He's one of those guys where you're runnin down the court, see KG, and It makes you think twice. People hate on him, saying he plays dirty & talks too much .... Man forget that. KG Is exactly what I would want to start my team with. The man Is a legend. Seems like a good guy. Isn't fake or puts on a front like Kobe does all the time. ... Hope Boston gets the Trophy this year !

I'm glad you got that dual back, it's super SICK!!! However, as nice as that dual is, that KG is just plain NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You do know that the patch is from his Rookie jersey! That card was almost mine LOL I'm not sure if it was a BIN listing or auction, because I confuse it with the other KG 1/1 Logoman from the same set... I lost both of them, can't win em all.

Yeah man I also love KG, great player, always goes hard and a great teammate, heard he's a cool dude too... A sure HOF member! That card right there is definetly a keeper, Congrats on it and thanks again for sharing.

- The KG card was listed on Ebay quite awhile ago. A year ago maybe ? It was Buy It now / Best Offer ... I didn't even have time to put In an offer, Matt got his hands on It and I thought I'd never see It again. I guess I got pretty lucky on getting both of them. Pretty sure I'll probably die with em before I would sell either of those 2 cards ! Basketball history baby ! ... Some people just don't understand !

I've sort of stopped collecting NBA cards at the moment and I just sold my favourite cards.....Carmelo Anthony topps echelon auto and Carmelo Anthony star gazing patch /10, There is a reason I sold them though because i'm now collecting this guy my new favourite card/s

I can definetly see KG as a Bill Russell type player... I watched him yesterday, he was a beast!!! Especially at the end of the game, he took control lol it was great.

I will post this KG card I have just for you! It's definetly one of my favorites but the Russell is my total #1 favorite...

Hi Gio, good to see you around here, its been awhile since we have chatted and traded stories lol...........fantastic thread my friend, i remember seeing your Russell on the live video you did and my jaw absolutely dropped to the floor, nasty nasty card and a great story to go with it.

for my cards i simply cant choose just one that i would keep so i have 2 lol........(i suppose if i had a gun to my head it would be my Jordan RC but dont tell the other i said that) anyways ill get to the cards

first is the 1986/87 Michael Jordan Fleer RC PSA 8
this card because MJ is who he is, the greatest player to ever play the game, this card is probably the most well known in the hobby and the most replicated/talked about over the years. Not much more to say about it other than its coming to the grave with me. Here it is

The next would be my 2003/04 Ultimate Signatures Dwyane Wade Auto RC /250
I am a massive Dwade fan and love watching him play, sometimes you watch games with great champion players and the game may get boring, but whenever your watching Wade its never that way, even on his off days he is brilliant to watch, as a matter of fact i dont know if you remember Gio but its you who helped me through the deal with your advice when i was trying to get the card off a beckett.com member, i still gave up alot in terms of cards and some cash, so because im a massive fan this card i can not ever see myself selling.

You had me researching this bad boy hahahahaha, and this is what I came up with. There are 5 cards to the set, thus "Cinque" which means 5 in Spanish I think lol. There is the non-auto version #'d to 149 and the 5 autos #'d to 24 I've seen 4 out of the 5 non-auto versions and your card is the best looking one in my opinion, but haven't seen the last one... lol But odds are yours is king!

Yeah man, great card, and if I were you, that bad boy would go NO place!!! 23 others out there I must look for.......... LOL

Thanks for the kind words. I remember that live video hahahaha I hate to be on camera, so that's why I would have rather done it live, so I can display my cards to a whopping 2 or 3 people!!! lol

Nothing against your Wade auto, love it, but I agree with you, that Jordan is a sure keeper for whoever has one... I've yet to get one for my collection but woud loooove one! I still am a more of a GU and auto collector, but RC's would come next.
