POS Printer!!

I'm not sure if all printers like this but Canon are a money grubbing slimy bag of fruit tossers!!!!!!!

MY color ink has run out on my all-in-one (Print/Scan/Copy) machine & will it let me print in just black!? Noooooooooooo....... will it let me scan!? Nooooooooooooo...... I haven't tried to copy anything but I think a big FAT Nooooooooooooo..... will be the answer to that!!!

Now I have to go & buy a bloody overpriced color ink catridge just so I can make use of the damn POS!

Can anyone tell me if all the companies do this!? Cause if not I'm never gonna buy a Canon again!!!!!

Brother has individual ink tanks. Does not do that.

HP have a colour and a BW ink tank, so if colour runs out will still let ou print BW, and will let you scan etc.

Maybe it is just that individual printer model you have or just the lower end ones.

Well I dunno about the models, but I have the MP160 & I searched online for a solution but just won't other people complaining about the same thing...... one had a MP530 which I believe is a higher end model, another had a MP750 & another a MP210 - interestingly enough though someone had a IP2600, which is just a standard printer & that works as long as you select the option to use black ink only..... which doesn't work for my one.

Avoid Canon all-on-ones people!!
