I'm (very) new to this forum and am strictly a nonsports collector. I have longstanding memberships of two other card forums - one about nonsport cards generally and the other focussing on sketch cards. One of the reasons I have resisted joining any of the Australian forums is because they all seemed too sports focused so there would be no overlap to actually talk about :) There's a fair bit of activity here, but I am curious as to whether people see themselves as sport / nonsport / any cards.

I was originally a non-sport collector - mainly comic cards.
Then collected CCG cards for a few years.
The got out of collecting all together for a few years.
Got back into cards when Topps released the UFC cards.
A little bit disheartened by Topps at the mo', so am now back into non-sport cards.
I would say that Sketch cards would be my focus at the moment. (2x LOTR Masterpiece and 1x Iron Man 2 Boxes on the way :))

Thank you all for your votes and comments. I will have to talk up how exciting nonsports is so I'm not so outnumbered next time I poll the same questions :D

Gday mate! Im a Sport & non sport collector. I really just collect anything that i like the look of. I havent got into the sketch cards as yet, not because i dont want to, but just because im trying not to focus on too many things

Heres another poll i started a few days pack which might interest you COLLECTORS POLL

I buy everything I can in respect of Melbourne AFL cards, but they are the only sports cards I collect. If I had to choose between Melbourne cards and non-sport, Melbourne cards would win every time.

Having said that, I would love to see lots more discussion regarding non-sports cards on these boards and hopefully we can get some more group buys happening.

I love my non sports especially autos of my favorite actors and sketch cards from Star Wars and Indiana Jones and Heroes.
Also love old wax pack non sports sets such as the original Star Wars, King Kong etc.

In cards my 90's hord of cards yells sport but some of my most favorite sets are my 90's Fleer X men and Marvel metal (nearly finishing those). Financial limitations dont allow much/any spending on cards and envy those who bust box after box.
