Hey all, I've been inactive on this site for a few months now and hoping to get back in the full swing of trading, buying and selling with you all. Was wondering what areas most collectors are from? I have searched and haven't found a similar poll and please excuse me if there is one, im from Sydney and believe there are still a few of us around even though no physical store. May be kinda boring but I'm very keen on knowing which state is best represented in this community along with fellow members from overseas.
Thanks

WA was my pic, great selection of actual shops but I guess I'm underestimating online buying as if we had a shop here in syd I'd be buying boxes there.
Hopefully all can vote so it's a fair indication.
If any mods have the details could they share??

Unfortunately a lot factor's led to shops closing down in sydney. The main two factors are as follows :
Overheads - many stores began to close down starting in 1997 due to rising overheads (rental, rates) until by 2000 you just had Collector's Edge in Parramatta, Card Shaq in Sydney and Miranda and the tobacconist in campbelltown westfields (main street entrance)

Dollar Crash - when the dollar crashed, this combined with ever increasing overheads caused what stores remained to close down. I believe Steve Zheng (collector's edge) had the Card House in Parramatta (near the river) but that ended up going a few years back due to costs and location.

It's like when you had Sherrif's Mini cars in Penrith and Parramatta. Now their down to just the small shop in parramatta. A shame really, as the penrith store was an excellent store for collectable toys, model cars and slot cars/accessories.
