anyone play online Poker? Texas Hold 'Em is my style of course, either limit or no limit. I havent played for a while and just today found out that they have added a new feature that enables people the create their own rooms. I was thinking if there was enough interest we could hold a poker tournament for OCT members, and if we get decide we enjoy it, perhaps we could even play for cards. What do you think?

I was going to put it in the general forum, but if we decide to play for cards I would only want to play for bball cards. By the way, $20mil? WOW!!!

I only play in the casino, never online. Heard too many stories of fraud online. But I like you idea of playing for cards... Especially when I know I can afford to lose a lot.

yeah, pokerstars is a very reputable site, and alot of the World Poker Tourneys are sponsored by it or affiliated in some way. Plus, you dont have to play for money, because there is a play chips option, which is all I do.

I'm pretty sure the "play chips" is programmed to be in your favor....... I hear people have no problems winning with that haha

Anyway.... I used to play Poker quite a lot, in RL & on PS....... but haven't really played much for the last couple years.

man i love poker.. ask kiwi!! lol.. but it has to be real money.. cant play with play money.. but im down for what ever ur organising.. lol

Its been too long between games for me too. Held a few Poker nights usually a $50 buy in (1st & 2nd get winnings) and a local supplier brings over a heap of boxes to bust during the breaks. Might be time to have another soonish :D

I like to think I can play and would probably be better online than face to face - but not quite sure how playing for cards would work. There'd always be arguments as to what constitutes a raise of $X amount and even when you use book values, past ebay auctions or COMC there's still no consensus as to value! Not a bad idea though...

id be up for a game every now and then

usually play in the smaller tourneys $0.02 - $5.00 , maybe a lil higher if had a win or bored and its the weekend, cant get caught up in a game for decent money during the week when its late at night  , start having micro sleeps in the middle of hands

and the current regional free rolls (Division 2, ANZPT, Aussie Daily Giveaway)

guess you can have an agreed value on cards, be it BV , each person puts in a card, so say have you 5 people

top 2 get prizes

1st place gets 1st pick of 2 of the other 3 cards (he cant pick his own and he gets 2nd places buy in card by default)
2nd place gets the other card and 1st places buy in card

I just cannot get my head around poker my mate has tried several times but he just starts talking about "rivers, slips & pockets" that pretty much confuses the hell outta me :p

havent played online for a year or so, but sounds interesting.
might have to see if my account still works on there.
only play in the play money tourneys.

I'd be in for sure. I come and go from poker online but always use pokerstars. sounds like a great idea
