Please Help!!!!!!!!!!

I have decided to buy a case of the new series 2 cards when released. I am weighing up options to get some more funds as i believe I will be close to $1k short and need to sell some cards. At the moment I am only collecting TP's, FF's and Sign. Redemptions. I need to decide if I shhould sell some TP's and FF's or a 2009 Classic Johnathon Thurston 04/50. I believe if I sold the TP's and FF's could possible repurchase down the track without losing to much in the purchase. If i sold the Thruston I know I could purchase another but would not be the low number.

I not selling any at the moment as waiting on Series 2 to be announced and what Signatures etc. there will be but I need to decide in due course what to sell

Any feedback wpuld be appreciated

well i would keep the jt sig mate as you wont get that number back again, the tp's and FF's you would end up with again somewhere down the line like you said but again the numbers if mean something then i wouldnt, there is still a few months till the proposed release date so i would sell of the less important to you and if you do sell the better cards and the 2nd series is as crap as the 1st then you will be kicking yourself.

so start of small and less important and see how you are travelling when it gets closer and more is known about series 2

Wait and see mate - if Select trot out the same crap they have with the past 2 champions series your gonna be kicking yourself.

Can you imagine if you sold all your stuff to buy a carton of the 2010 Champions series. You would be pretty pissed you gave up all those TP's and FF's for a bunch of diamond phenomenon cards worth jack.

Your much better off hanging onto the JT card.

Hang on to the JT as it will be harder to get back although would raise cash much faster

Mate tough call,

I'd probably sell the JT as it would be raise the whole amount needed in one hit and then you would only need to replace 1 card rather than dozens and dozens of FF's and TP's.

I'd ask top dollar now for it and wait until you get the right offer rather than sell in a hurry as the release nears.

If you go the other way I'd keep those TPs / FFs that seem to fetch a premium Barrett / Gasnier / Slater / Inglis / Idris etc and move the lower end ones as you find these much easier to replace at a comparable price to what you sell them for.

If you look back over the last 11 years of select cards.. You'll notice that 2004 authentic captains.. 2008 immortal sigs.. And 2009 classic sigs are worth more than any other cards.. So.. I wouldn't sell the thurston.. I don't have much faith in the new series since seeing the quality of the 2011 champions.. I'm hoping to get a case.. But not if they are going to be crap............ Again..
