1/1s are the holy grail for us hobbyists but unfortunately with the plethora of printing plates and panini parallels they've lost some of the allure that they once had. Don't get me wrong, still a sensational card, nice looking auto and dual patch but unfortunately also features several of the things that us collectors also don't like about modern cards - sticker autos and pretty ordinary patches. Think about it, a 1/1 should be the flagships of your PC but this particular effort has 2 x bland two colour piping patches and a sticker auto! I busted one box of Classics and scored an on card Aminu auto out of several hundred.....then there was that insane RPA we saw last round (and we know there are dozens more similar to it), so how come none of that patchy goodness found its way into a 1/1 Aminu card? So even though I appreciate the rarity of the card and its worth in a PC it represents what's happened to the hobby in recent times of which I'm not a big fan! Sorry KB, had to be said!
Now let's examine the Dwight..... This particular card is the exact opposite of what I just was complaining about, big multi break, multi colour Orlando patch, with a nice clear visible auto on the patch itself! Better auto, better patch and definitely a better product overall. Oh, a better player too! The only thing that could trump the Dwight is its 1/1 status, which when we stop to think about it is some dude at Panini HQ running around stamping random cards with his 1/1 stamp on the back! If it wasn't for the little Panini guy stamping cards on the back this contest wouldn't even be close!
Vote Dwight!
