Does any one know if you can get a refund from Paypal for overchanged postage? I can't find anything about this on their site, has anyone done this?
I got charged $15.99 and the cards arrived with a $2.75 stamp. Not happy Jan!!! Asked the bloke for $10 refund that way he's still getting enough to well and truely cover himself, but he has replied with thats not fair I can only give you $6.
Just file a complaint and get the whole lot back. He can't prove he sent it with tracking so make out you never received it, you should win the claim. THEN kindly make the payment for the correct amount to him after that and reply to an email from him saying, "now that wasn't too hard was it?"
hehe. That might just teach him a lesson.
I'm with the Truth, pretty tempted to use that myself, I can't stand this "I've gotta cover ebay fees" bullshit, that's why you set the minimum bid higher...
I have done it like that before, even after getting emails. They will not trust emails too widely, as they can be modified before being forwarded. Just stick with the fact you never got it, then repay them the correct amount afterwards. If all goes well, that will teach them a lesson for stuff you around. The only downside is, if they don't have money in there account, you won't get the refund until there account has money in it.
The problem is I've noticed alot of sellers lately saying they will only ship registered for X amount because of people filing with Paypal.
I had 1 guy the other day charge me $5 then the next day he emailed me and said he went to post it and it was less than he thoguht so he refunded $2. So some are nice enough!
Beckett needs to run a story or something showing how the international market is boycotting auctions with high postage. I don't think alot of sellers are realising what its doing to their selling prices.
Yeah I was worried about him keeping my emails as proof if there wasn't a refund for postage.
Already sent him an email about copping the 17 negs if he doesn't give me the refund, so we will see what he says.
Their all the same though, his last email he was trying to justify his $15.99 US postage saying I have to pay for paypal and ebay fees etc.
So I just gave him a serve on that.
I agree with Mavs ! Get the $6 back he offered (You did well to even get that offer) and neg his ass !
This over postage thing has hit me again this week so I just refused to finalise the deal !!! One guy was charging me $2.00AU (within Australia) but said he was just going to send the cad in a plain envelope with nothing protecting it !
