Whilst I understand people's frustration with Paypal, especially if they state one fee but charge higher (that is clearly not on), this is a far better solution than when I first entered the hobby almost 20 years ago.
Back then, you would write a letter (plus postage) to someone like Steve Taft with a want list. 4-6 weeks later he would respond with what he had, plus a huge postage fee. You would then walk to the bank, stand in a queue and purchase a bank draft ($8 fee and exchange rate around .65...less about .03 that the bank took as profit in the exchange). Then you would write a letter back with the cards you were after (always based on high Beckett price) and include the bank draft. 4-6 weeks later you would finally receive your package - never all the cards you wanted, so he would add others (that you didn't really want) to make up the cost.
So it would be about 3 months to complete a transaction with usually a 15-20% 'fee' for bank charges and postage (excluding the actual cost of shipping the items).
Now days, you contact the buyer, pay instantly with Paypal and receive the card in a couple of weeks.
Certainly not having a go at the OP, but I know the option that I would prefer...
