PayPal eCheque

Hi all,

Sold something on ebay this morning and noticed I've received notification of an eCheque payment.

From what I'm reading it's because it was funded via the buyer's bank account.

In my email it states:

Dear Scott Godfrey,

You've received an eCheque payment which takes 3-5 business days to process. Until it does you'll see the transaction status set as "Pending". If you've sold a physical item, we suggest that you wait until the eCheque is processed before you ship it. We'll email you as soon as the money is in your PayPal account.

We estimate the eCheque will be processed between 18/08/2014 - 20/08/2014.

Happy to wait before posting this item, and I'll notify the buyer of said conditions.

Should I be wary of anything here, or is this 100% normal, etc?

Also, it states no Sellers Protection, is this because the payment has not cleared yet?

Any/all help appreciated.

Umm, buyer is BRAND NEW, August 4th. ZERO feedback.

Should I now be concerned?

Normal. When someone pays for something using their bank, it sends an echeque. If you send the item before it clears you have no protection, once cleared you are covered by the usual rules.

Thanks Norm, I thought that was the case after what I'd read.

I then noticed the 0-feedback. I'll see what happens when payment cleared. I've contacted them, and they DO exist (found their facey page).
