Hey all,

Had a quick look through the forum, wasn't able to find an answer to my question. I'm hoping someone here can help me answer it

I had won an autograph card on Ebay on 06/11, and am yet to receive the card. I was getting worried about it, so i messaged the seller. After no reply for a few days, i decided to start a PayPal case as it was getting close to the 45 day deadline.

About 1-2 days after starting the case, i received a message from the seller, saying that he had missed the payment for the item, and would send the card out ASAP.

For starters, it seems weird that he missed the payment, and had never contacted me about why i hadnt paid for an item after 30+ days

Anyway, i was just wondering what the next best course of action for this.

Do i close the case, and wait for the card to arrive?
Am i able to leave the case open and unactioned until the card arrives?
Or do i just proceed with the case and try and get a refund as my gut feeling says he is trying to scam me of my money?

I have lost money in the past from not proceeding with PayPal cases, not anymore

Any help will be greatly appreciated =D>

I had a similar thing happen. I'd keep the case open for 2 weeks till the card arrives if doesn't by then escalate the claim.

I second what verse1 said, leave it open no card in 2 weeks escalate the claim. It does sound fishy hope it all turns out good for you it sucks being ripped off.

What they said above............I have two open cases at the moment with the same ebay seller, paid the day I won via PAYPAL and nothing. The only response was give it time xmas slows everything down, when I pointed out that they won an auction of mine, paid for it and received the item in 4 days...........well they had no answer for that one.

In fact the seller got shirty with me for starting the dispute in the first place. Told him to calm down, its nothing personal............I don't received the card/s after nearly 3 weeks I reckon I am entitled to start the dispute...........:)

IF the cards don't arrive by the appointed time I will escalate the dispute and try to get my money back.

just out of interest what cards are these? did you by any chance get them for cheap because a dispute is an easy way for a seller to get out of giving a bargain...

One was a 2004 Authentic Honor Roll HR1 - World 7's champs, seller had it for 15 dollars buy it now and the other 3 were all buy it now and were cards from 2003/04 Cricket series.
