As a few of you know, I've had paypal for almost a year now (April 2012 in fact). I always transfer money on every second wednesday. for the first eight months - despite paypal saying "this transaction will be process on such-and-such date (that same friday), the transaction was actually processed by paypal on the following tuesday even though my bank did their end on the thursday. Since nov/dec, the actual processing date has gone to mondays. Either way the money has always been in by 10a.m. Guess what? Transfer was done last week and no money. If a bank showed this lack of inconsistency - they would be taken to court and more than likely shut down. so why the hell should paypal get away with it? I've already sent them an email outlining all of this. I fully expect to get the standard response "Paypal cannot guarantee any transactions time. The wait period is 3-5 days." I'm sorry, but If a bank told me that, I'd have the right to tell the bank to go and shove it or I'll see them court. Completely unacceptable behaviour by paypal to be like this.
I just posted about this problem, and I agree with what you say.
Banks need to join this to create competition.
Taken 8 days for my funds to clear on a purchase so far.
