A well-known brand name with a proud sports card past will step foot on an NBA court for the first time in mid January when Panini America unveils the debut edition of 2013-14 Pinnacle Basketball, a product inspired by both old-school Pinnacle principles (Team Pinnacle, Z-Team, Museum Collection) and new-school niceties (autographs, prime-memorabilia jersey cards, printing technology).
Slated to release January 15, 2013-14 Pinnacle Basketball will hit the hobby in jumbo fashion, with each 300-card box (10 packs, 30 cards per pack) delivering two autographs and one memorabilia card; 24-pack retail boxes (eight cards per pack) will yield one autograph or memorabilia card.
While this next-gen Pinnacle creation will lean on the nostalgia of its predecessors in other sports, it will also offer modern twists — such as etched foil treatments on the Team Pinnacle and Z-Team inserts, Nufex technology on Museum Collection, and the hoops debut of Clear Vision, one of the most popular aspects of the recent 2013 Pinnacle Baseball release.
2013-14 Pinnacle Basketball will be anchored by a 300-card base set that includes 40 Rookie Cards, three autograph inserts, two memorabilia inserts and inviting chase sets such as Artist’s Proof parallels, Big Bang, Jamfest and Scoring Kings.
