Panini Eminence

Hey Guys,

Not been on for a while, but just noticed they released Eminence for 2019-20. So it looks like a one in 5 year thing. Not sure if anyone else has posted about this, but didn't think I could see a thread here.

US$30,000-40,000!!!!!!!!!!
For 10 cards, that is just insane and outrageous.

Just did an EBay search of sales, and out of about 338 items sold, taking to account some are for boxes and also box breaks, only 75 were sold for >US$3,000.

And as a benchmark, Zion RPA numbered to 10, only sold for $51k and $30k. That is basically the price or double the price of the box.

There are some people still with very very DEEP pockets, buying into these cards!

Panini probably had to make up their margin somewhere due to COVID, so dropped this item to cash up (and cash in on a bit of Zion hype).

Ersk,

Good to see you around again.

With Zion as a Rookie, there was no way Panini was ever going to miss out on maximizing its profits during a boom time.

With people not spending as much on going out and concerts, dinners etc.... seems a lot of money has flowed into cards and other collectables and the market has taken off.

If you want to see how crazy things have become, check out the auction results of the latest Goldin auction.

Many cards selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars.....

your correct Matt, some insane prices you posted.
at the same time, some jaw dropping cards in that lot.
if Mahomes can pull of the S.B this monday, those prices are heading north again
