I could attempt to explain the print-technology wizardry that proudly permeates the upcoming release of Panini America’s 2012-13 Prizm Basketball. But instead, I’ll let the official Product Information Sheet speak for me: â€Prizm delivers a familiar, but dramatically improved, technology that has been missing from the basketball hobby.â€
That description in concert with the preview images below should tell you all you need to know about this promising new addition to the Panini America NBA family.
2012-13 Prizm Basketball (six cards per pack, 20 packs per box, 12 boxes per case) features a 300-card base set including 100 rookies (the continuation of Panini America’s massive and historic Double Rookie Class), Prizms and Gold Prizms parallels, four themed insert sets and a 100-card autograph that includes Prizm variations.
The product, which ships in late October, places a premium on design- and photo-driven inserts that play to Prizm’s extraordinary print technology; each box will yield two Prizms parallels, two autographs and two additional inserts.
