As they do every year, Panini America Football Product Developers spent much of the offseason in the lab brainstorming tweaks to franchise favorites on the NFL product roster, dramatic alterations to others and, on occasion, devising completely new product additions from the ground up: 2017 XR Football is one that falls into that last category. Set to arrive in hobby shops across North America in late September, the product makes its hobby debut with hobby boxes (seven cards per pack, two packs per box) delivering, on average, one Rookie Autograph Jersey card, one Autograph and one Rookie Jumbo or Triple Memorabilia card.
By melding dynamic designs with strong memorabilia and autograph content, 2017 XR Football provides a fresh addition to Panini America’s 2017 product portfolio. It also provides the kinds of hits that could make the product a mainstay for future seasons.
The product highlights are many and include . . .
- Triple Swatch Autographs and Jumbo Swatch Autographs from the top 2017 NFL Rookies, all numbered 199 or less.
- Dual and Triple Swatch Autographs of the top rookies paired with NFL greats numbered to 20 or less.
- Jumbo and multi-swatch memorabilia cards in the Rookie Jumbo Materials, Maximal Materials and Team Trios Materials inserts, all numbered to 99 or less.
- Luminous Endorsements autographed shadowbox cards numbered to 99 or less.
- Each hobby box will deliver, on average, two autographs, one memorabilia card, one insert, four parallels, four base cards and two Rookie Cards.
- Jumbo patch cards of rookies and vets alike including, Nike Logos, Laundry Tags, Gloves and NFL Shields.
