Panini America’s Football Product Development Team has been in the lab in recent weeks polishing the preliminary details of the upcoming 2017 Vertex Football, a unique new product inspired by both the finer points of the company’s Grand Reserve Basketball brand (most notably the Capstones insert), and unique printing and photography techniques.
Set to arrive in hobby shops across North America in late January, 2017 Vertex Football delivers an eclectic mix of unique trading cards, including the aforementioned Capstones chase that features four jersey pieces and on-card autographs. On average, each hobby box of 2017 Vertex Football (eight cards per pack, three packs per box, four boxes per inner case, two inner cases per master case) will deliver four autographs (including two on-card autographs with one being from the Capstone rookie/veteran/legend mix) and two memorabilia cards.
The additional highlights of the product are many and include . . .
- The headlining Capstones insert features rookies, veterans and legends of the game on cards that feature four memorabilia swatches and on-card autographs. Capstones has four unique parallels: Quartz, Granite, Marble and Onyx. All Capstones cards are numbered to 99 or less.
- Two autograph inserts that are true 1/1s: Number Ones features autographs from players who were drafted No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft and One of a Kind features signatures of top NFL superstars.
- Chase a compelling array of must-have autograph inserts in the Highly Revered, Upper Tier Signatures, The Ascent, Difference Makers, Vertex Signatures, Apogee Autographs and Championship Ink sets.
- Key memorabilia inserts in 2017 Vertex Football include Vertex Materials, Portraits, Unbreakable, Domination, Closers and Startups.
- A variety of printing technologies incorporated to deliver distinct, jaw-dropping inserts. Look for cards that feature microetch patterns, striking photography techniques and more.
- The microetched Past and Present melds yesterday and today to show collectors what might have been.
- The Startups jumbo memorabilia insert features three different levels of prime material, all numbered to 99 or less.
